It does perplex me as to why scrapbooking is so very niche in this country. It's such a wonderful hobby. There is the preserving of the memories. The wonderful social aspect of it if you find yourself a good crop to attend. The buying of the pretty paper. And the holding of the pretty paper. And the looking again at the pretty paper.
But, one great aspect to this lovely hobby is the blogging. And the wonderful Svjetlana has very kindly passed onto me, the 'Liebster blog' award :) (Liebster means 'dearest' in German for all those of you out there who are as rubbish as me at languages :)
The idea of this one is promote small blogs of less then 200 follower and pass it to 5 other small blogs. These are the rules :
To accept the award, you must:
- Link back to the person who gave it and to thank them for thinking of you.
- Post the award to your blog.
- Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
- Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
So, I've had a good think about this and here are are my picks... Great crafters each one, make sure you visit their blogs and have a look at their wonderful creations.
1) Maria
2) Orlaith
3) Helen
I'm still having a little think about my forth and fifth choice... I read a number of wonderful writers blogs and I am tempted to send this award further afield to them... but then again, I'm thinking maybe I'll keep it crafty... when I decided I will add to the list.
While making my mind up, here are a couple of layouts I made at the crop on Saturday with the lovely Crop Tarts in Donnycarney :)
Not the most flattering picture of my darling girl, but full of character :) |
Messers, the pair of them :) |
Hehe you are super funny I LOL'd at the thicker on your bum and bein the next riddler. I would of known what it was and told you :-) peach and turq is grear colour comb. Well awarded blogs I found it hard to choose mine as I follow quite a few.
ReplyDeleteGlad I made you smile :) I'm only sorry I didn't take a picture of the offending thicker, it would have made a great layout :) Though how I would have managed to take the picture is another question... :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! How kind :) I also loved the cut price Riddler comment - but at least you had a fashionable colour combo. I really like both pages here - esp the butterflies and flower mix and the great photos. I'll have to have a good think about who I want to pass it on to - thanks again :))
ReplyDeleteI had a giggle about your cardigan. Love your two pages.
ReplyDeleteI also had a hard time to chose whom to pass that blog award, but I am pleased how it turned out, even few people ignored, I don't mind.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We might be in the parade if this weather desides to settle down!
They are both gorgeous Triona you had a more productive day than me I think I spent most of my time eating cake (very bold) but on the other hand so good :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the parade Svjetlana, the rain did just about hold off :)
ReplyDeletePam, my scrapping/cake eating ratios are getting worse :)Soon it'll just be all about the cake...
Love your layouts!!! It's great to see an Irish person who scrapbooks - think we're a rare species! I wish more people here would catch on to how amazingly awesome it is...sigh. Anyway, love your blog! I will be a regular visitor methinks... :)
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny :) Great to meet you! We are indeed a rare species, but I can never understand why - scrapbooking is the best hobby ever :) I'd be delighted to see you back here :)
